Vikas is a certified D licence holder from All India Football Federation (AIFF). He serves as a Maharashtra Road Safety Patrol and Civil Defence Officer. With over nine years of experience in physical education and coaching, he has worked with various institutes and international schools. Vikas led the U-19 Football (Boys) as a head of delegation (2018-19) at the School Games Federation of India (SGFI Nationals). His U-19 (Girls) team were the runners-up at West Zone CBSE Clusters in 2012-13, qualifying for CBSE Nationals. Vikas has completed the AIFF online introductory futsal certificate course. At The Gateway School of Mumbai, he works as a sports coach, emphasising the importance of lifelong learning, health, and fitness to children.
