The Gateway Intervention Centre’s Enrichment Programmes are multifaceted, multidisciplinary, holistic programmes that offer skill-based, short-term sessions designed to promote overall development. Facilitated by experts in varied fields, these sessions provide students with valuable learning opportunities and a variety of comprehensive and integral experiences for personal growth.
The programmes aim to equip students with essential professional and life skills. They provide appropriate sensory stimulation for students’ cognitive growth and holistic development by engaging them in whole body learning activities. Moreover, these activities are tailored to their individual needs and closely monitored by a physiotherapist who collaborates with all experts conducting these sessions. Particular emphasis is placed on fostering students’ social skills by offering them opportunities to work in a group with a diverse set of students, which fosters compassion, understanding, and self-awareness, promotes social bonds, and develops collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills. These programmes thus endeavour to provide overall enrichment to students.
