Dr Hijab Mehta

After doing an MBBS from KEM Hospital, Mumbai, Hijab completed an MS in Ophthalmology in 2000 from Nair Hospital and topped Mumbai University's MS examination. Among aspirants from all over India, she was selected for a long-term Fellowship in Cornea and Anterior Segment at the prestigious and world-class LV Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad. After completing the fellowship, Hijab continued working there as an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Cornea and Refractive Surgery for a year. She was the Consultant and Head of Anterior Segment Department at Dr S. Natrajan’s Aditya Jyot Eye Hospital for three years from 2003 to 2006. She is also a proficient phacoemulsification/cataract surgeon, with experience in femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery. In addition, Hijab is an accomplished Lasik surgeon, trained in bladeless/femtosecond Lasik and SMILE (a bladeless and flapless way to get rid of glasses). She has performed live surgeries through CME. She has also done several presentations at national and international conferences and published articles in peer reviewed publications. In 2006, along with her ophthalmologist husband who is a Retina Surgeon from Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai, Hijab started a comprehensive eye care centre called Infiniti Eye Hospital at Tardeo, Mumbai. Presently, she is the Head of the Anterior Segment Department there.

Kelly Dorfman

Kelly Dorfman is a licensed clinical nutritionist and author who specialises in targeted nutrition therapy to address complex medical problems. She lectures internationally and has been featured on numerous television programmes and in periodicals including CNN's American Morning, the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post, and O, The Oprah Magazine. Her award-winning book, Cure Your Child With Food, has been published in seven languages. She is on the advisory board of The Gateway School of Mumbai.

Dr Fran Reinstein

Dr Reinstein graduated from SUNY College of Optometry in 1991. She then did a one-year residency in Pediatrics and Binocular Vision at Pennsylvania College of Optometry. She was on staff as a clinical supervisor at Pennsylvania College of Optometry from 1992-1994. At that time, she was also working in a private practice in New Jersey. Dr Reinstein was on staff at SUNY College of Optometry, in the paediatric department, as an assistant clinical professor from 1995-2000. She also worked in a private practice in Manhattan and in Queens. Dr Reinstein held the position of President of Optometric Society of the City of New York for eight years and then served as Downstate Trustee for the New York State Optometric Association for three years. Dr Reinstein is currently working in a private practice in New York City that specialises in paediatrics and primary care optometry. Dr Reinstein lectures extensively on paediatrics in primary care optometry and the importance of eye care for children.

Jenifer Midili

Jenifer Midili has over 25 years of experience working with children and families. She is the owner of Children’s Speech and Language Services, Inc. in Falls Church, Virginia. Jenifer’s specialty area is feeding and orofacial myology. She created and coordinates the feeding and orofacial myofunctional programme at the Falls Church office. She earned her certified orofacial myologist certificate (COM®) in 2017. She has also trained under Sandra Holtzman through NeoHealth Services and received her Qualified Orofacial Myology certification in March 2019. In 2020, she became a recommended programme provider from the Thumb Sucking Professionals in Australia. Jenifer has received advanced training in feeding and orofacial myofunctional therapy through renowned professionals in the field. She was excited to be accepted and participate in the newly launched MyoMasterminds programme through the Breathe Institute, and she graduated in April 2021. In May 2023, Jenifer was awarded her Integrative Breathing Therapy practitioner certification with Dr Rosalba Courtney. Jenifer is a consultant for The Gateway School of Mumbai.
